I host volunteers in my home near Kathmandu, surrounded by mountains and forests, about 30 km from Tribhuvan International Airport. Accessible by taxi or public transport, we primarily earn income through organic farming, growing a variety of vegetables and fruits. We use compost from kitchen waste and animal manure, ensuring all farming is organic.
Founded in December 2014, our organic farm in Nepal aims to "create a better, fairer, and healthier world." We partner with small-scale farmers to cultivate organic herbs, buying them at fair prices to improve livelihoods. Our herbs are used for herbal soaps, with plans for essential oil production
Our farm, 13 km from Kathmandu near Bhaktapur, is a 30-minute drive from the airport. My family of four manages a well-organized rabbit farm with 300 rabbits, including 60 mothers and 7 fathers. We utilize rabbit urine and manure to enhance our farming.
Our farm in Parbat district, Nepal, covers 50,000 square meters and is in early development as an organic farm. It features a training hall, storage hall, greenhouse, fish pond, and sports courts. Future plans include picnic spots, a coffee house, pets, and an agricultural library.
Established ten years ago, our farm in Tanahun District started as a small-scale poultry and fish operation and is now expanding into cow farming, additional fish ponds, and agriculture. Spanning 70 ropanis, we serve a rural community of 200 households, where agriculture is the main income source.
Our farm covers about 80 ropanis and includes three traditional Nepali homes and 15-20 animals for organic manure. We grow coffee, oranges, and other fruits, and run a goat farm. The developing community mainly relies on wood for cooking and celebrates various festivals in harmony.
My farm in Dolakha district spans 5 ropanis and is legally registered with the Nepal government. We primarily grow kiwi, with 27 mother plants, and sell kiwi saplings to local farmers. We're also trialing strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry cultivation.
Our farm, located 1.5 hours southeast of Kathmandu in Kirtipur, offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains and the Kathmandu Valley. Surrounded by forests, parks, and temples, this ancient city is known for its wooden carvings and diverse ethnic groups.
The farm is situated on a hillside, offering clear views of Bharatpur, Tandi, and Gaindakot, reminiscent of Nagarkot in Kathmandu or Sarangkot in Pokhara. It also provides stunning vistas of the Manaslu and Ganesh mountains.
oin our award-winning farm! Home to prize Holstein Friesians, we produce organic veggies, vermicompost, and fresh milk. Help us with cow care, milking, gardening, and more. Seeking hydroponics experts to innovate our fodder system as we adapt to urban growth. Volunteers welcome
Our community in the hilly district of Nuwakot is rebuilding after the 2015 earthquake. While progress is seen with new schools, hospitals, roads, and hydropower stations, many still rely on agriculture, teaching, livestock farming, and tourism.
Our farm, nestled between the Narayani and Rapti Rivers in Chitwan, needs help with feeding goats and fish, watering, and maintaining the fish pond fencing. Volunteers can also enjoy jungle safaris, elephant rides, or teaching at the local school for a deeper connection with Nepali culture
