Our organization work prisoners and their family. This was a continuation of the prisoner welfare and work started by renowned writer Parijat in Nepal, where we have a responsibility for welfare of prisoners' family. We are currently 34 local staffs, plus we also enjoy the support from peer educators and volunteers. We develop and work extensively across wide range of prisoner related projects throughout Nepal. We have separate programs for men, women and mental health prisoners, as per their conveniences. We work with youth forum, women group, day care center etc. for empowering them to enhance income generation and life skills. Organic farms for sustainable environment are also in operation in Jhapa district of Nepal, where we have recently purchased 26 ropanis of land, which is expected to support the food needs of children. We have recently established one school which we will develop as a Children Home, for providing education opportunity to prisoners' children. We also believe strongly in advocating for the basic human rights of every individual regardless of their current social status. These all programs are predominantly focused to those individuals, who have been released from prison, or have partners who are currently imprisoned.

After becoming familiar with our work, we have already got support from many organizations, including Kamala Foundation, Orphan Help Center New Zealand, and Children Trust UK etc. These sorts of appreciation are continually encouraging us.

Volunteering with us , would be guaranteed as an experience you won't soon forget. Most volunteers work in our Children's Homes for varying lengths of time. At present, we ask for commitment of at least 2 months when volunteering. This aims to reduce the attachment difficulties, some the children experience with high turnovers of volunteers. The only skills required are maturity and a desire to bring some love and compassion into lives of some very special children. Volunteers may be placed either in Kathmandu or in rural homes as well. Tasks may include assisting in doing homework, playing with children in free time. Also, they can help us by giving tutorial classes to children, helping in farm activities etc. Please come through WWOOF Nepal .

We have formally established Children Protection Centre a few years ago. Our main aim is "Education is the precious treasure of life". Before that also, we used to do child care activity, but had not separate place for them. But, since establishment of this organization, I have maintained separate home and garden for them. Basically, we support to the children who are at home and parent less and the adults who are supported less, handicapped and homeless. We offer protection, home care to poor and disadvantage children in the society.

As I am from middle class family, I have started this center with little fund, hence it is not so big. There are only 9 children currently. They are ranges from 3years to 10 years. I send them to school in day time and provide necessary tutorial guidance at rest time. I also love to play and dance with them, during their free time. We are here currently four staffs for managing this organization.

Volunteering can be an element to exchange your experience to different people. Your efforts can bring change in the community. You can volunteer here by helping in different activities, as teaching English, child care and play, cleaning, shopping, community awareness, culture exchange program. Besides, you can enjoy visiting of Chitawan National Park, which is near to our center. It is the first national park in Nepal and also a world heritage property.

Hello, I am founder of a woman organization who works for the advocacy for woman since many years. It is the social welfare organization, working to improve the economic and social status of disadvantage people, especially women. We focus on helping women to participate in the local economy by running savings and credit cooperatives that provide women with the opportunity to work together to run a formal financial organization and engage in income generating activities to support their families. Basically, we are empowering women throughout 4 districts of Nepal, namely, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Makawanpur and Chitwan. As Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world, poverty and malnutrition is widespread. Political instability in the country is also increasing level of poverty here, affecting the most vulnerable groups; particularly, women and children. Hence, our organization is established with the main approach to build the capacity of women's group, register them as cooperatives to operate them as independent institutions and building networks of cooperatives in order to scale up activities and impact. They provide loans to members at reasonable rate to encourage income generating activities. Today, there are now 41 cooperatives operating with 25,000 women members with a total of $3 million US in circulation. They are engaged in different income generating activities, as tailoring, farming activities, leasing land for farming, animal rearing, grocery shopping, establishing microenterprises etc. Loan money is also given towards children. Please come to join us through WWOOF Nepal.

My farm is located , 32 Km from Kathmandu in the direction of Pokhara. My farm is just 10 minutes walk from the Prithivi Highway in the beautiful, peaceful hillside village . We are only 1 hour from Kathmandu so it is easy to go for a day during your stay. I can also meet you in Kathmandu to make your journey easier.

There are 5 in my family; my grandmother, mother, father, my little sister and myself. We also have our pet dog and keep goats, cows and chickens. Both of parents are English teachers so we all speak good English.

On our 17-ropani farm, we grow potatoes, tomatoes, radish, carrots, lettuce, garlic, onion, peas, rice, cron, wheat and more. All of our methods are 100% organic and pesticide free. For medicine we use plant and traditional methods.

During your stay, you can have your private room attached to our traditional Nepalese house. For food, we have two traditional meals per day as well as seasonal fruits, snacks and tea.

The project is building an self sustaining eco farm on a hilltop overlooking Pokhara (Nepal) to the south and with the Annapurna mountain range as a stunning backdrop to the north. I have four family members and my main occupation is agriculture and also I owned a restaurant business in Pokhara. I have developed an inclusive farm with cows, organic vegetables, fruit plants, Ayurvedic plants and local plants. I am very much interested to be a host because farming is my family tradition and I am keen to see people from all over the world at my home.

The work will primarily consist in turning the 3.5 hectare of hill top into a habitable Eco-farm, planting Ayurvedic trees, organic vegetables, cowshed for Diary products as well take in weak and wounded cows and building houses.

We have organic farm including vegetables, fruits and Ayurvedic herbs and plants (plan is to cultivate at least 108 Ayurvedic plants). We have Gaushala (Cowshed) for milk production which will be leading to milk processing for cheese, cream, butter, yoghurt and more.

There are plans for a meditation and yoga hall, Buddhist as well as Hindu temples and a healing temple which will release mental stress of visitors and volunteers too. The spiritual schedule will be starting from early morning with meditation and yoga and then working in the farm or helping up in the kitchen work for preparing lunch for the co-workers. We have evening meditation seasons and volunteers can participate on their will. This is purely vegetarian and non alcoholic place and every member of the farm will have to follow this.

Our Farm is Guided by the ancient Gurukul parampara where students get lessons from the Gurus (ancient teachers) and they support the Gurukul (school) for producing food and other activities for the place to keep on running.

The end goal is a financially self-sustaining ashram, providing a place to retreat for meditation, yoga, natural therapy and simple living only 10 mins out of central Pokhara, yet far removed from any city life stress. We estimate around 8-12 volunteers working on the project at a time.
